Busy-ness

There has been a lot going on here lately!
A couple of weeks ago, my neighbor Jenn and I took our kids to the Touch a Truck event.

Basically, people bring out all these big construction vehicles and big trucks and the kids get to climb in them and touch buttons. It was fun for the kids!

Joe's mom came over last weekend and we took the kids to the Quakertown Relay for Life Event. There was food, fun, games, and raffles. Whitney got a lot of loot and a balloon shaped into a Disney princess!
Grammy and Whitney wove a rug using old tee shirts and a hula hoop

, but it turned into more of a basket b.c they wove it too tight! Oh well, they had fun!

Monday night, Blaine had his Spring Chorus concert. It was great! The kids did a great job and their hard work really paid off.
Friday night, Blaine, Joe, and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean, On Stranger Tides. Whitney stayed with her friend Treyce. It was a great movie!! The theater was packed, so we were glad we got their early enough. Can't wait for the next installment of the Pirates saga!

Saturday, Whitney and I made alphabet cookies. Make a word, eat a cookie!

Saturday night, the whole family went to an Iron Pigs game! (minor league baseball) We had really good seats..close to the food and bathrooms, great view, and under cover when it rained! Best of all, they won!

Fun-filled and packed...a great few weekends!

Easter treats

We have been busy this week with the kids being off from school for Spring Break. We picked mom up from the airport on Thursday and went to see the movie HOP on Friday. We spent Friday night and some time today making some Easter treats, take a look...

It has been fun, I have been sick, but finally went to the doctor Friday and got an antibiotic that is helping me to feel a LOT better!

Today is my BIRTHDAY!!!

Woohoo! Today is my birthday! I don't really like the getting older part, but I do love the self promotion of a party for myself!
Last night we got to hang out with friends and take it easy without the kids. Today we spent at Joe's mom's place. The kids wanted to go up there since we hadn't seen them in a while and I got a nice birthday meal, planned just for me!
The best part was opening my birthday present from my husband...a box with a printed picture of a Kitchenaid mixer. Hhmmm...what does that mean?? An I.O.U.?? Nope! My very own brand new Kitchenaid mixer to be delivered very soon! I CANNOT WAIT!
OHHH and on the way home, we went to Rita's ice and I got a free ice for my birthday! Yep, it was a good day!

Girl Scout Cookies

It is Girl Scout cookie time! Whitney made a goal to sell 50 boxes of cookies. She has surpassed that with her first cookie order! She has sold 112 boxes of cookies in her first week! Soooo..her new goal is to sell 200 boxes of cookies! Each box is $3.50. There are many varieties to choose from, Lemonades, Thanks a Lots, Caramel Delites, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Shortbread, and Shout Outs.

They are all delicious! You can learn more about the GS cookies here. Selling cookies is not just about raising money for the girl scouts, it is about setting goals, building social skills, and confidence and teamwork! The girls learn a lot in the many aspects of cookie selling. Help Whitney to reach her goal. If you don't want the cookies, you can donate them to the Cookies from Home project that sends GS cookies to troops deployed overseas. Thanks for the help and support!
