These shoes...

I am not usually a girl that buys a lot of shoes, contrary to what Joe believes. I have about 2 or 3 pairs per season that I wear often. My black mules with the heel...these I wear nearly every day. My tan-ish colored heels are to go with my light colored pants and my sneakers are well, to go with my jeans and anything that is not for work. So, I can honestly say that I don't have a TON of shoes...not like the people I see on TV that have $400 shoes they never wear or 10 pairs of black heels...that is not me. Well, I went into DSW Saturday to buy look around and buy some brown or light colored comfortable shoes to go with my khakis and other light colored clothing. I purchased these....

from the front
They have a nice low heel, and the pretty leather can be worn with most anything.

I also saw these.....

These shoes were calling my name. I could not resist. They have that beautiful patent leather and the color...light green, just make them a true find. I can see myself wearing them with my favorite dark denimn washed jeans or even my favorite work khakis....really nice.
Don't make fun...Like I said, I am not a shoe girl, but these are like the icing on the cake of a well put together look.

Beautiful Sight

On our way home from lunch and shopping with Grammy, I spotted this beautiful hot air balloon in the air. It was trying to make it over the trees to land. It made it and we lost sight of it, but managed to find it by taking a back road. When we got there we saw them exchanging a couple of canisters. It looked as if they were getting ready to take off again so we hung around for awhile. They did take off again and it was so beautiful to see that balloon in the air. We followed it for a little while on the road home and did still see it when we got home. What a neat treat.

Spring is HERE! Well, one more day, officially.

Tomorrow is the actual first day of Spring, but we have been enjoying Spring like temperatures here for the past few days. Since Monday, it has been in the 60's! Today was a bit chillier, only about 45 degrees or so, but at least it is not freezing! So to mark this up swing, Whitney and I traveled down for opening day of Grida's Soft Ice Cream shop! It is only about a half a mile away, so we took the opportunity to walk. It was very popular already and we waited in line about 10-15 minutes and another 20 or so for our order. Though Spring begins tomorrow, it was a tad cool and Whitney was getting very cold. She and I ate outside as long as we could- she had a soft serve chocolate ice cream in a cone, with sprinkles of course (and a hot dog) and I had a pretty good chili cheese dog. We had to call it quits and walk back to our place when Whitney's hands got too cold! We made it back and she finished eating most of her ice cream and all of her hot dog while watching Little Bear. I can tell this will be a nice place to go during the warm summer months, especially since it is SO close! Can't wait:)

Whitney got a haircut!

Whitney got her hair cut for the first time today. We loved having her hair long, but it was getting hard to manage and she HATED having it brushed, so we decided to make it a little easier to control. Joe and I both had the day off today and after eating at this cool Back to the 50's diner in Perkasie, PA, we went to GREAT CLIPS for his and hers haircuts. Whitney wanted to go first. She would not sit alone, so Joe held her. The brushing was difficult, but the stylist was nice and did a good job. There was a lot cut off, but it looks really good and Whitney loves her new do!
